We Just Changed the Map!

Eric won. Now we build.

Hi friends,

On Tuesday night, one of our co-founders, Eric Gisler, flipped State House District 121, a majority-maker district in our backyard. We couldn’t be prouder of him, and this victory shows what’s possible when communities organize, volunteer, and believe in something better.

This was a special election for the ages, one that made national news in the process.
A one-point victory. A 60-40 Republican district. A seat everyone thought R’s would hold.

And Georgia Democrats flipped it anyway.

But here’s the part we’re proudest of:

Students, volunteers, organizers, donors, and county parties in Athens and Oconee showed what the future of Georgia politics can look like.

For everyone who’s been fighting for years whether knocking, calling, or just showing up when it felt like no one was watching, last night was proof of something we don’t say often enough:

Organizing still works.
Talking to voters still works.
Showing up still works.

This is what a people-powered flip looks like.

And here’s the part we can’t say loudly enough:

If a district like 121 can flip, others can too.
Not hypothetically. Not someday.
Now. In 2026.

But only if we invest early — earlier than we ever have — in the districts that decide the future of Georgia for the next decade. The ones we call the majority-makers: Districts like 53, 99, 105, and also 151 and 154, two southwestern districts where the data says “we can flip this”.

Flipping the Georgia House by 2030 isn’t a slogan. It’s the only way to stop another decade of gerrymandered maps, underfunded schools, unaffordable housing, and a government that still doesn’t listen to the people living under it.

Tuesday night proved something important:

If we build the right infrastructure now, we can win the races that decide Georgia’s future.

State Rep. Eric Gisler is official. Let’s flip even more!

And that’s why I’m writing today with an urgent request:

Will you make a contribution today to help us turn this one win into a winning strategy for 2026?

A gift today fuels:

  • The 2030 Battleground App (launching in early 2026)

  • District-level organizing support for the next 10 flippable seats

  • Messaging and turnout tools tailored to 2026 State House races

Let’s build on this moment.
Let’s flip five more seats in 2026.
And let’s build a Democratic majority by the end of 2030 — because flipping the House isn’t a slogan. It’s a strategy. And it’s within reach.

With gratitude and determination,
Andrew Ferguson
